none of them matched playing as persia selucid or germania in rome in terms of challenge not even closeĪustria has few issue that needs to remember.ġ. ppl on here say there the hardest im worried as i came on here to find out who was harder to play as. n overall i thought wow this was over really quick only half a day. i then declared war on russia again i blitzed them most there cities were completly undefended. once my main enimies were beaten down i just worked on my economy when picked the next weakest target (ottomans) lined up all my armies on the borders n blitzed them in one quick rush only a few turns. i found that once id got past there lines the cities were undefended. i pritty much defeated france n spain single handed very quickly my allies and vassals just served as distraction forces. i then blitzed bavaria wutterburg swiss strasbourg and northern italy and southern france liberateing vassals on the war n dragging them into the war too. The auto relsolve needs a little work.īizare i actually found this campaign really easy almost too easy i just allied with the ottomans giving away tech n trade rights allied with prussia draging them into the war allied with all the italian n german minors i could n dragged them all in the war. The thing that really annoys me about the campaign is when I have 2000 troops that are better my french opponents and I outnumber them by 1500 yet they still can inflict 1200 casualties and get away with over half of their force alive. As the other person said you can liberate greece really quick and then march on the ottoman capital. I also try to make peace with as many people I can so I can focus in improving my economy or securing flanks. That will provide you with a lot of wealth and a place to build more troops. I also build another army in Italy to liberate(vassal) the one Italy city and then I go after Peidmont and the region to the left of it. That way when the french attack, I can swap out armies or if I have to use both armies in a battle to even the odds. In my current campaign I took my army and captured Bavaria and built another army in the Tyrol region. The only time factions break alliances with me is when their bribed or they catch one of my spies. Getting attacked by the coalation factions seems like an anomly. Also note that Austria can get howitzers earlier then other nations that can be a huge help. You could try to hold the alps but it is probably easier to abandon that one country you can allways get it back later after the ottomans are beaten. And more importantly you can focus all your forces on the french forces. This will allow you to build up more forces and a better economy. After they are taken out you got more tech centers and 4 trade nodes to get money. You could also liberate Greece but that is optional. In the meantime allies yourself with prussia and focus on the ottomans. That should allow you to beat back any attackers as long as you keep your units well supplied. Stole this tactic from another player on the forum. Try this and don't take north italy but put an army on the bridge next to venice. and then, in early 1807, just as darren jk said, britain, prussia and russia all revoked their alliances with Austria and soon after they all attacked.so after all that effort it had been a waste of time. just managed to get belgrade while russia took out the rest of the balkans because Austria was just always broke. however, just got so bogged down in italian rebellions,swiss alpine forays and french offensives at munich that attacking the turks was impossible. seemed to have got Austria(hard) going at last.
